Carnivores in North Queensland win the race for the hottest gourmet food
Gourmet food lovers will have a new favourite when they head to the North Queensland state of Queensland for the Carnivore Awards on Thursday.
The state has just had a new king and queen crowned and has been awarded with the prestigious prize for best gourmet cuisine, with the winner being crowned on Thursday morning.
The winner is the new queen, Kim Cresswell from Wadden, who has already won the title.
Kim Cresswold won the 2017 Carnivor Awards.
“I am so honoured to be chosen as the Queen of Carnivory, and it’s such a great honour to be a part of it,” Kim said.
“It’s such an amazing opportunity to showcase a new brand of cuisine to our fans.”
They are always asking me to come out to events, they want me to share their recipes and share their knowledge.
“To win a national award like this is a dream come true.”
The coronation ceremony will be held at Wadden Stadium on Friday morning at 2:30pm.
