Which Australian chefs are on the list of the best?
The list of Australian chefs on the best food guide, published today, features chefs from all over the country and the world.
In a separate article, chef, restaurateur and TV personality John Boulton wrote that he is “fascinated by the new Australian gastronomy movement” and that it is “not just the best in the world, it’s the best”.
“This is a great start to the year, a new wave of Australian culinary talents, inspired by a love of fresh ingredients, raw ingredients and the spirit of Australian cooking,” he said.
“As well as the great chefs who have already been selected for the 2018 list, there are some incredible new talents, and it’s an exciting time to be a gastronome in Australia.”
In the first edition of the list, chef John Boulston was named Australia’s most talented chef, while the list also features chef Matthew Wetherill, who will be competing in the inaugural Australian Culinary Awards.
